Jaco Arrest

Good Evening Gentleman,
According to the Costa Rica Daily news on 9/22 there was a
mass arrest of 71 persons in Jaco Beach. It appears that that if you didn't have your papers in order you were detained. Does anyone know the outcome of this arrest/detainment? Were charges filed? Did they accept the copy of the information/picture page and copy of the entry stamp? I was a little unclear from the article what exactly the "sweep" was to accomplish. Any views are welcomed. :roll:

Stupid gringos who don't know what the rules about papers are should be sent back home because they are too dumb to travel internationally.

It was probably a set up with the cops sending the 15-year old into the club. They made a good haul.

Orange has been on a forced CR withdrawal and mixing that in with his NYC upbringing just makes him angry.

I heard more of the story this afternoon. Not just a routine sweep. They had a couple of undercover cops working in the Beatle Bar. They got some Dominicans who were involved in a ring bring Dominicanas into the country. If I hear anymore I'll let you know.

there are some real a**sholes who come CR thinking because they are Americans with cash they can misbehave. I saw many of this first hand.

For example: I was sitting at the bar in the Presidente and this gringo comes in and ORDERS a coffee with cream and sugar, with that typical yankee demanding voice, the barmaid gives him a black coffee. He yells back at her he wants a coffee with creme and sugar! I told him he needed to order cafe americano, since most natives drink their coffee black. He sucks the coffee down and storms out. I wanted to punch his lights out.
The poor girl was so embarassed.

At the Beatle Bar one night these four loud drunk gringos come in with a
Costa Rican interperter (assholes did'nt even try to learn some spanish)
and wants the tico to get them girls. The guy tries to round up some girls and then the guys berate him because the chicas were not pretty enough.
All the working girls there cleared away ftom d*ckheads, and they were dumb or drunk to understand why these chicas would'nt want anything to do with them.

Sorry for the rant, I know you guys have plenty of examples of americans acted badly, throwing their weight and cash around. Gives all of us a very bad name and makes it more difficult to get to know the REAL Costa Rica.
