Perhaps those who want better security can explain precisely what they are trying to prevent. I don't really get what they are trying to stop. Chicas from looking at the pictures and reading the posts? Local anti-prostitution crusaders?

Here is the rub: You want to keep your anonymity, right? Well, the same anonymity that you demand allows others the anonymity to join even if they are female or self-righteous spies. And as has been said by others, actual monger members are letting chicas see the pictures. We can gnash our teeth all we want, but there is no way to keep out assholes. If there was, I suspect membership would decrease by at least 30%.

For those who still think some sort of high-security forum is needed, I suggest you start your own. CRT was started by someone who saw that the old CRS board wasn't being well-run, and the result is what we have here. If you have a better idea, you can start something new. Become an entrepreneur!!!

What anonymity are you referring to? Admin knows who and where I am. I have no problem if he chooses to verify that info.



I didn't say I thought this board wasn't being well-run and I doubt I could do even half as well. In the original post in this topic we were asked to "provide Admin 1 suggestions and solutions", right?

Some sites that have photos don't allow you to right click on the photo to save it on your hard drive. I'm not an expert on HTML so I don't know if that's something that can be done. It would prevent people from stealing pics and re-posting them on other sites.

Does anyone seriously believe that the closings happened as a result of photos in the VIP gallery, or because Joe Blow (& I apologize if someone actually uses that handle ) wrote a review about MP chica "Maria" who made him see god? If you work for the CR version of "Hard Copy", all you have to do is walk out on the streets of San Jose & ask the first Tico you see about the MP's....we tend to have a disproportionate view of our effect on CR tourism, IMO.

As pointed out above, there will always be dickheads who show the chicas the photos or reviews in the hope that it will move the $100 bills faster out of the overstuffed wallets.

It's impossible to prevent anyone from downloading something that your browser can access. It's very easy, and the measures most people put in place are only effective at keeping ignorant people out.

Let me repeat this again. We're not doing anything wrong. Nothing that goes on in Costa Rica will injur us in any way, other than making us scared of our own shadows.

Several people have been at the various places during the "raids" and they were merely checked for their ID and left to go about their business. Do you need any more evidence that you are doing nothing wrong?

While I personally am not concerned about participating in a legal activity if I was concerned about it there's a few easy solutions to protect your anonymity.

1) don't post
2) don't go to MPs
3) go somewhere else!

It's not as though there's a shortage of *******, DR girls, KL girls , strip joint girls, previous favoritas or other arrangements you can make through your CRT brothers. If you're so terrified of going to the handful of affected MPs then exercise your free will and do something else! There, that wasn't so hard, was it?

In Firefox, ctrl-U and you can see the page source, that is all of the html with all the links to all the pictures.

It can also be done programatically in a few minutes....

I feel like I'm beating a dead horse here, but my last post on this subject goes thusly:

You want to keep chicas and media away from CRT. The chicas that access the pics usually do it via a member, as far as I know. If the member is found out he will no longer be a member, as far as I know. Unless you want some sort of detailed background/character check (impractical and probably impossible as well) performed on each prospective member, this can't be stopped.

As for media types or crusaders, how do you screen them out? I don't think CRT is the cause of this crackdown or that it even made it measurably easier to do. Any cop who walks the streets of barrio Amon knows where the Zona Blue and New Fantasy are. Admin1 knows my credit card info, I guess, and if he felt like spending the time and effort he might find out what I do (did, in my case) for a living. But how in Hell would he know whether or not I was a 'mole?' I just don't see how you can pre-screen anybody. And I don't see that there is some giant problem. CRT was not any substantial cause of the recent raids and I don't see that even the absence of CRT would have prevented them. I haven't heard any suggestion that would change anything other than create additional headaches. I will continue to read this thread, but I will be shocked if there is some way to keep jerks out and only cool people in. End of last post on this topic.

Just for the people who think the crackdown is only MP's-The DR was threatened about 2 years ago but put in a ramp or something within 36 hours.

Did it disappear in the last 2 years?

Just remembering a conversation i had with the principal owner in sept. of 2006.I believe it was one of the entrances across from KL.
