After years and years of sitting on those old delapitated couches in front of the reception desk at the HDR Im happy to report that this morning they threw the old ones out and put in new ones.

How about that?!?! We were just discussing that same thing on this forum a month or so ago. A "little birdie" must have said something to Big John. :P

This probably the way they want it so the chicas would get off the couch.

Tico furniture is horrible, and all the same... If you go to 10 different tico furniture stores with different owners and everything, they will all have the same identical stock, it's kind of ridiculous.

There is plenty of comfy furniture for sale in Costa Rica, it's just that hotel owners are too cheap to go to those stores ;)

Huh? Fusebox, you contradicted yourself I'm thinking...

I find the typical Tico furniture to be too straight-backed. I went to Saarchi and had furniture made that is very comfortable and more "gringo". They sit up...we flop.

You call those new? They look like old style Hotel Presidente furniture and they probably got them from the dumpster behind the Pres.
