People I see in general looking more and more frustrated and scared every day.

Local service industry workers don't seem happy at all from reduced business and even when they have business getting only 10% tip v. 20% in the good times.

And this is typical not only in SOFLA but most every other major U.S. city except maybe Seattle for some reason (maybe Canada wealth helps there), Houston and any other oil/gas city, Pittsburgh (steel very strong), or tourism cities (Orlando not nearlt as bad off as SOFLA). Miami tourism real strong too but those are the exceptions.

I am very close to moving out of SOFLA until the economy gets better and going back home to Tejas where it is better.

Also it gets very depressing being around depression. Now in Florida they say the state itself is in a fullblown depression. Does not apply if you are independently wealthy but for most not in that category it grinds on you.

Yeah I could sell everything I own and move to C.R. now but it would be pocket change and last few years at best and then what?

No I'm getting out and continuing to work and save more. Dallas or Houston may not be as pretty as SOFLA but at least I'll have the income to visit C.R. more frequently and get away from the Depression! jajajajaja

Serious!

SOFLA real pretty with pretty people on the outside but most are rude rude rude on the inside and without souls. I'm gettin the phuck out now!

Interesting article in today's edition of USA TODAY [May 1st].....RISING COSTS RESHAPING AIR TRAVEL ACROSS THE USA. It seems to be a harbinger of things to come in regard to airlines, air travel, fares, etc. No doubt, it will have an effect on the future mongering scene as we now know it.

Thanks for link, Z. I certainly hope the costs go back down and the airlines start making some $, as less flights will rise the prices for us.

Although the Clam got a flight to PTY for $38 each way plus $78 in tax for this weekend from FLL. He booked it this morning. On Spirit Air, naturally.
