Toad,

No, April is not rainy season. It's the "rains more than february" season, but nowhere near rainy. October is the best time to see Arenal, April your 95+% likely to never see the volcano.

Just warning you.

Ok screw the volcano then. Maybe I'll head to Jaco for some hang gliding ($70).

I've got a "family" trip planned to Arenal the first week of July. We'll have around 25 people going to the volcano for a couple days/nights. Is that a good time of the year to actually see the volcano or the lava spewing ? :?:
MG what are you thinking? You can't bring family to CR, once they see the chicas its all over for you young man. What happens if one of those YOUNG Colombianas remembers you from SJ and runs up to ya for a big hug and kiss? If you must bring then, Hide them somewhere near the border. Good Luck my friend. Sorry my friend. I do a "family" trip once a year in July. But rest assured - I don't go anywhere near SJO! I spend one week per year as an eco-tourist !!! :o It's just one of those things ya gotta do, know what I mean ?!?! Then, my other 9 or 10 trips throughout the year are for business!

Scotia Bank is part of the Red Total ATM network. The maximum dollar withdrawal is $400.00 per transaction. You may make multiple transactions up to the daily limit set by your card issuer.
