I have watched the financial network channel CNBC on channel 64 on Amnet Cable for seven years. CNBC went off the air four days ago and two days later Bloomberg financial network started being shown on channel 64. I called Amnet several times while channel 64 was off the air and each time I was told that it was a temporary technical problem and that CNBC would be back on the air within a matter of hours. It didn't happen. After the surprise replacement of Bloomberg I called again three different times and spoke to three different people including the manager and was told by all three that it was just a temporary thing until they could get the technical problem with CNBC worked out. Yesterday I called again and was told that Bloomberg would be on permanently because there is a problem picking up CNBC with their dish. I think they are all lying. I suspect they changed to Bloomberg because it was cheaper, or maybe they were pirating CNBC and got caught and then didn't want to pay for it. I love CNBC and I think Bloomberg is a very poor substitute. I speculate in futures contracts and need CNBC for their up to the minute information and their high quality programming. Does anyone know anything about this situation? Does anyone know where or how I can get CNBC in San Jose, either cable or dish or internet? For several years I have had the urge to move to Panama City. This may be the straw that breaks the camels back.
