I've been here on Semana Santa in years past and I can tell you that it is DEAD....DEAD....DEAD for 4-5 days. Anyone have any ideas of where to go for a few days where they aren't so religious? All the chicas are either at home with their families,or at the beach. I don't want to go to the beach because that is a crowded family scene. Don't say Thailand because it's too far for 4-5 days. Oh well,I guess I'll just use my book of numbers.

When is Samana Santa? I am headed down the week of March 31st.

It's Holy Week, the week that leads up to Easter. You are fine if you head down the 31st.

How do you DRIVE to Bocas??? Is there a car ferry from Almirante???

Sounds like a fun road trip tho... Nature Air from Pavas to Bocas is 240 RT also a good option...

You drive to Sixaloa and park your car. There are guarded pay lots available. Walk across the bridge to Panama. Take a bus or taxi to a water taxi departure area and they take you to Boca..

Many "perpetual tourists" make that run every 90 days. It is a very economical way to meet your visa requirements.

Yeah, I actually did this trip (by bus though) to Sixaola and then taxi and boat to Bocas. About 8 hours SJ to Boca. Flew back...90 minutes.

But I guess driving to Almirante is also an option in a CR registered car, no?

Yesterday I posted on CRL asking about secure parking at Panama Frontera. The first week in April I plan to drive my car to Sixaola, walk over the bridge and take the bus to the ferry to embark for Bocas.

Nobody on CRL knew squat. Next time I have a question I'm going to send a PM to ID.
