One night ,I'll admit, I looked thru a bunch of old threads because I thought it would be funny to bump one but after two hours of searching I just couldn't find anything worth it and I just went to sleep.

WTF Man!?!?

I checked the date and read the whole phucking thread, expecting to find out what happened to the couple. Can someone give me that 5 minutes of my life back?

A prediction:

Quote:
MONGER PROFILE

White Male, divorced, grown Ch*ldren, 40 something, high school education, small business owner, mongering experience about a year and a half, trips to CR about 4 or 5.

CHICA PROFILE

20 Something, Nicaraguan, 1 Ch*ld, experience in the DR 10 months,
Managed to save over $12,000 during her work.

Probable update on profiles. Monger: divorced second time. Sold business to pay upkeep on twentysomething bride. Savings account zero. Now works at Wal-Mart for seven dollars an hour.

Chica: working at Del Rey or working her latest catch from the Del Rey.

Savings account received $150,000 bump from former husband.

Just an opinion.

I fell in love with a little nica from the DR who is about 30 years younger. But when the blood returned to my brain, nagging doubts started flooding in. For instance, I figured that she would be running around on me in about 3 months.

Husband had to sell the house to give his former beloved her severance, No mi amor, we don't need no prenup"

She is currently spending her money on a new Tico Novio who only beats her a little and usually only sleeps with her and two of her other friends.

Yes, this is actually happening right in KC's back yard. The monger is an acquaintance of mine.

DATE OF WEDDING

October 2004 in Nicaragua.

MARRIAGE CONDITIONS

Prenuptual Agreement

I thought that this would be a very interesting "reality CRT story" to have an update every 4 months or so on how the marriage is going. I live in an area that does not have a lot of hispanics which concerns (I am going to call him "Marriage Monger") him. He has money but is not wealthy.

I would like to develop a questionnaire to interview him in the future. Please submit questions you would be interested in seeing the answers to.
Despite Astro labeling me as a cynic, I wish Marriage Monger the best and hope everything works out for him. Chica is no longer working in the DR but back in Nicaragua awaiting Marriage Monger.
Dam when I first read this I thought it sounded just like me 3 years ago. Whew, what a difference 3 years makes. Thank God for CRT. I do still like the Nica's.

I made the same initial mistake as many others of thinking this was something new (although I did finally realize my mistake before I got to where it had been bumped. I disagree somewhat with those who suggest that this was a story best left dead and buried. Yes, I share most others' strong suspicion that this probably ultimately ended in divorce or if not is certainly headed in that direction, but none of us, except perhaps King Costa, really know. Frankly, of all dead and old threads to resurrect this is one that arguably actually merits it. After all, King's original intent was not for a quickly appearing and disappearing thread but rather of one that would TRACK the progress of this relationship OVER TIME. As it was, until now it had lasted less than it initial 2 days, with no 4 month updates and with no "debriefing" questionaire of the victim, ... er I mean "lucky" groom. OTOH, perhaps in the end this did not make such an "interesting reality CRT story" because the outcome was so common and predictable. How about filling us in, KC?
