I checked the date and read the whole phucking thread, expecting to find out what happened to the couple. Can someone give me that 5 minutes of my life back?

A prediction:





Probable update on profiles. Monger: divorced second time. Sold business to pay upkeep on twentysomething bride. Savings account zero. Now works at Wal-Mart for seven dollars an hour.

Chica: working at Del Rey or working her latest catch from the Del Rey.

Savings account received $150,000 bump from former husband.

I made the same initial mistake as many others of thinking this was something new (although I did finally realize my mistake before I got to where it had been bumped. I disagree somewhat with those who suggest that this was a story best left dead and buried. Yes, I share most others' strong suspicion that this probably ultimately ended in divorce or if not is certainly headed in that direction, but none of us, except perhaps King Costa, really know. Frankly, of all dead and old threads to resurrect this is one that arguably actually merits it. After all, King's original intent was not for a quickly appearing and disappearing thread but rather of one that would TRACK the progress of this relationship OVER TIME. As it was, until now it had lasted less than it initial 2 days, with no 4 month updates and with no "debriefing" questionaire of the victim, ... er I mean "lucky" groom. OTOH, perhaps in the end this did not make such an "interesting reality CRT story" because the outcome was so common and predictable. How about filling us in, KC?

My lawyer friend divorced his young Cuban bride and is visiting SJO again.
