Hello all, I just wanted to bring this topic up again. I have researched the CRT site and just want to see if anyone has any new info or new findings

I call costa rica cell phones alot. Using a PC is not an option on either end right now so it has to be a service where I can re-charge over the internet.

I use PINGO...6 cents / min + 1 cent for Tollfree access...Total is $.07 plus $.98 / month

Does anyone know of any that can beat this?

I use Tele 3 Advantage. They are a CRT sponsor and I've found their service and prices to be exceptional. It's a calling card kind of service, but you can refresh the $$ without having to start over.

I call CR at least 3 times a week. I use pre-paid calling cards that I can buy in a local phone card shop. I don't know if that's a NY thing only, but we have stores that only sell pre-paid cards. They have like 2,000 different cards. I guess there's money in calling cards. Anyways, I always buy a card called "Chica Rica" (:lol:) I get 56 minutes on a $2 card if I use it up in one call. So that's 3.5¢ per minute.

When I don't have a pre-paid calling card, I use a virtual pre-paid calling card. This is the one I use: http://www.comfi.com/Phone-Card/Jupiter

It's 4.5¢ per minute, plus 10% tax. There are maintenance fees which is big since some card charge up to 99¢ per week.

Just start using Tel3 2 weeks ago. Working great from cells, home, office and payphones.

starting using tel 3 also, seems to be working great, a lot better that the 2 dollars a minute cingular charges!
