12,000 members. Hah! “members” That’s a lot of guys with dicks and money who otherwise would be lost and ass-raped if they wandered anywhere outside the HDR if they didn’t have CRT.

You hear some of the old timers grumbling about the “f’in CRT guys.”

Why do you think?

CR used to be their little gem; CRT polished it.

The more successful this board becomes, there greater the supply of gringos and their dollars.

Close your eyes for a minute and try to dispel all of the wisdom you gained from this board. Imagine if you heard that San Jose was a good place to Phuck Latinas and maybe you’d be lucky enough to even hear about the BM and the HDR. I never in my life heard talk of any of these places until I went looking for them and even then it took some effort to find good information.

Look at my story as a microcosm in a large economic machine…….

In early 2006 I began researching business opportunities in other countries. I wanted to find a location where I felt I could retire if I wanted, a place that had business opportunity, decent health care, stable government and the like. I had it down to Belize and CR. I was checking airfare for some time and was generally leaning towards Belize since they speak English there but nagging in the back of my head was CR as a close second with the major benefit of p4p opportunities ( I had done some limited internet research on this)…..I kept waffling back and forth and finally one day I was taking to my sister-in-law on the phone and telling her that I was planning on setting up a business in Belize. I had not previously discussed my thoughts with anybody so she didn’t know I was even considering CR as an option….and she asked me “What about Costa Rica?” It was something about her recognition of CR that tipped the scales from Belize to CR. This is a long bit of accessory information but I relay it to show just how close I came to never even thinking about CR again and going about my merry way in Belize (where I already had some business contacts)

Shortly thereafter, I bought my tickets to CR for if I recall right, 4 nights. I had a little bit of time on CRT before that. I found CRT from an internet search that first landed me on Don Gordo’s website. Looking back, I remember how enticing it was to read his “Walking Tour of San Jose”

….OK now still imagining what it would have been like had I not had the benefit of CRT…..maybe I would have gone from the information on DG’s website. I would have printed the walking tour and taken it with me (actually I did do that) and then embarked on it…I would have found many of the places closed and the neighborhoods I walked through would have been ugly.

Imagine if you don’t speak much if any Spanish and you walked into one of those places on the walking tour without knowing how to play the game…

My hat is off to DG. I admire the spirit of adventure he had in pioneering SJ. I don’t think a lot of non-Spanish speakers would be able to pull that off. I could not have just dropped into a foreign city like SJ and sought out sex joints – no way.

I have been to the HDR, KL, NYB, ZB, NF, Musas (yes that is how it is spelled on the sign, please quit calling it Muses), Europa 2000, VIPs, almost Oasis but they were closed, two other Paseo Colon MPs I don’t recall and don’t care to take the time to figure out, Pantera Rosa, Atlantis, and Scarlett’s.

Of those places listed above, the only ones I would have found without CRT were the HDR/BM (internet), Atlantis (cabbie), and Scarlett’s (cabbie). Think about how that limits one’s potential experience…

Of the 12,000 CRT members, how many of them have been to ZB??? How many of those would have found ZB without CRT? If not for CRT I probably never would have been to ZB in the four times I’ve been to CR.

A lot of you guys complain about the ever-increasing prices and higher expectations of the chicas……

So in that regard, CRT is a double-edge sword? It teaches us not to give the big $ to the chicas in the DR but then it also teaches us where to find cheap pu*sy elsewhere…and increased demand for cheap pu*sy means that cheap pu*sy gets expensive. This is an economic fact.

There seems to be a ‘wag the dog’ syndrome here. Is there a cycle….does CRT increase sex business in SJ, so more sex businesses open and supply continues to meet demand?

I would be interested to hear other member’s opinions about how much business is SJ is attributable directly to CRT.

Will the incredible wealth of information on CRT overrun SJ with more mongers and result in increased chica demand and therefore increased prices and spolied chicas? Is it happening already? And is this why esteemed folks such as MG move to other pastures?

Membership on CRT is growing quickly; will there be an equilibrium?

I tend to think 25% or less of CRs monger traffic knows about CRT or about CR because of CRT. I did not know about CRT when I first went to SJO two years ago and I searched the internet before I went. CRT has certainly helped a lot of guys have much better experiences though. I can only imagine how clueless I would be if someone from my rafting trip had not shown me CRT during my first visit.

I first went down to SJO on a fishing trip. I just mentioned this in my other post today. We planned this all out. After 2 years of going to Montreal, we decided to go somewhere warmer. So, in May of 2002, We spent 1 day in SJO, 3 in Flamingo, and 1 day back in SJO. It was the perfect first trip. After about 3 more trips, the fishing was out the window. Too much fun right in SJO.

you are going to laugh about this one. I first learned about CRT from Karla, the bartender in Key Largo.....She told me all about it and we went Don Miguel's office and she showed me.

As for all my other trips to SJO (and since I was with a girlfriend down there for most of them), I haven't seen most of the places talked about on this site. Prior to my girlfriend, I was having too much fun at the HDR and Key Largo to venture outside of that area. We did the strip joints but not much other than that.

Every trip I meet atleast a dozen different guys who have joined CRT , but have yet to post. These guys aren't in it to make buddies. They come to CR strictly for the chicas and use CRT for the discounts and occasional info off the board. Most of these guys come with wingmen who don't join but benefit from the knowledge the member has. Yes, CRT has a big affect on the mongering scene in San Jose. I witnessed one place "wise up" this last trip and I'm sure a few others will do the same in the future.
