KC...just goes to show you the perception power of vocal minorities in elections. Same happens in the USA where the media and certain voices seem to get top billing on viewpoints that the majority of americans dont share. One also may have to question if the continuous demonstrations (sometimes violent) and blocking of main thoroughfares in CR had a negative return on the NO blocks results.
Hopefully this will bring the intended jobs and economic stability that is intended. As most of us have discussed here before, this is not a pure FREE trade agreement...and yes, there are going to be some "losers" in the upcoming changes. Hopefully some of the losers will be those who have imposed high prices/tariffs and poor service on the masses because of their monopoly on certain goods and services. And yes, some people will have to learn new jobs and get better educations as some old menial labor positions get wiped out by new technologies and efficiencies. But, in the long run, this may just be what CR needs to get with whats going on globally and surviving and thriving better. Its really up to them now...to compete in the global economy.
