I was shocked to see some Chicas laughing & turning down cien because they wanted a buck-fifty  . Cien is a lot to these Chicas & they must know they can get 150 to walk :( . At these prices I think it is time to look further south to places less traveled. One would quickly recoup the cost difference for the addition airfares at these kinds of rates.

I know I sound like a broken record on this, but all I can say is I'm glad my newbie days in CR happened when they did - and over time I've been able to establish a reasonable price point with a group of regulars. Just heard another instance of a girl in the Del Rey who is nothing special actually getting $450 for two regular sessions! What the phuck is going on???

South America - here I come...

This is a bull shit thread designed to divide the brotherhood by someone that has nothing better to do with their time.

The old timers came here and did the same thing to Ticos that the new guys are doing to the old timers.

Everyone needs to adapt or fall by the way side.

In another respect, the new guys are getting sucked in by all the bogus chicks and all the goods ones are left for those that know the game. So relax old timers, you are still getting yours.

It is still just $42 at Zona Blue with your VIP card, so what are you worried about?

There's a very old joke that goes like this:

A young bull and an old bull are standing at the top of the hill overlooking a herd of cows at the bottom. The young bull says, "Let's run down the hill and Phuck some of them cows." The old bull smiles and says, "No, let's walk down the hill, and Phuck them all"

For me, I just want to roll down the hill and hopefully get a BJ :-)

I don't know exactly how this thread got to be all about money. In my mind, of course, inflation will always be there. It is just a different experience now than it was in 1994 when I made my first trip. Just one really quick blurb about money, I was quoted $100 by an ugly ass Tica in Happy Days back in 1994. I was well informed that $100 was ridiculous then. So, I walked over to KL and got a doble for $70 TLN with 2 Ticas I would rate 7's. Both of them.

THE EXPERIENCE IS JUST DIFFERENT NOW. The advent of the internet has made CR a well known hobby destination. Not to mention it is really convenient to get to from the USA. The influx of USD can not be ignored. I think hobbyists by nature are the adventurous type. That is what drove me to CR in the first place. A foreign land where I do not speak the language (at least I didn't in 1994), hot chicas to be had and the element of danger. I had always heard SJO was a dangerous place. Proved me right on my maiden voyage.

What I am trying to say, and I can not speak for all, is that it is just a different experience. I still love it but it isn't the ADVENTURE that it once was. Hell, everyone in the service industry now needs to speak English. Every place accepts USD. Internet cafes on every corner. Is it good for CR? Overall yes. Is it good for those who want adventure? If it is your first trip, I guess it will seem like an adventure. Thus, the reason I and many others are looking further south to place that haven't yet been trampled by gringo influence.

Different now than then? Yes. Do I still love it? Yes. Do I love it as much as I used to? No. Everything gets boring after a certain time.

maybe in 10 years we will all be posting on NICA.com or something similar. I personally think the prices and range of offerings are ok given the ease of access and mongering infrastructure here. There will always be bargain hunters and adventurous types and guys who overpay. We also have a wide range of personal budgets.

As to Del Ray pricing, CRT is a small portion of the crowd there and we have little effect on the rate. If anything we are poor targets for the hardcore girls there.

At this point, virtually every customer at the SL is a VIP and we have a lot of influence on pricing there.

Although, not complaining. A bad day in CR is 10X better than a good day sitting here in my office.

Agreed…

No mater what mongers board you read some “old-timer” is bitching about the rising prices… and I bet every gin or bridge game in the seniors center has some discussion of the high cost of something or another… Just life...

Kc i agree with you that CR still seems to be a good deal.Prices go up over time everywhere(fact of life)At my job i get about 5% raise every 18 months so small increases don't bother me.

YO, Alto....por favor.

Geezzzz...you hens can turn, twist and beat a topic to death. Sounds like a bunch of old gringas clucking at the beauty parlor where they are just wasting their time and dinero anyway.

Can someone turn off the lights and move on to a more substantive discussion.....or do I really have to bore you with what my grand daddy paid for pu*sy while working on the initial building of the Panama Canal. Yawn....

Even though i am a free spender, this board has helped me immensly. On my first trip i had a girl(Karla)4 times, she never asked for anything and always took the agreed upon price. Even though i was not looking for her,we bumped into each other on my most recent trip. She kept insisting on a $100 as her sister was sick. She also wanted me to buy drinks for all the friends she suddenly had including one barmaid(i told her to buy them) On the way to the room she asked for more money as her car needed repairs. In the room after half an hour she got a call and had to leave(sick sister). Well she left upset with $40 which i thought was generous. My Point without reading this board i would have fell for at least one of her tricks and given her money. All these ploys were well talked about on CRT.and even though we all don,t agree on everything there is GREAT advice here.
