One thing that I have often wondered about!
What if alcohol were invented today. I can only imagine the uproar that would be a part of this "new demon" drug. When consumed in excess quantities it greatly effects 100% of those that have abused it.
Can you imagine a new drug that would make people turn into staggering, stumbling, belligerent, combative idiots. Slurring their words, unable to function at the lowest denominator possible. That is often prior to throwing up, passing out, and with often no remembrance of what took place. Thousands of drivers weekly getting arrested, and causing major catastrophe's on the roads. The cost to society of other drugs pales in comparison to that of alcohol abuse, not only in money, but in ruined lives. I truly believe that the uproar would be far, far greater than that of any other drug.
Having abused both alcohol and drugs in my life

, I don't see where one is better, or more righteous, than the other. One is just legal.
This post is not to pass moral judgment on anyone, or anything, just MHO. I have just always been amazed that if alcohol were invented today the moral outrage it would cause.
That being said, I can't wait to have a rum and coke with some of you in September.

Now back to reading about poosey!!!!

I think that there is a fundamental flaw here... Alcohol, can and is often consumed for it's taste, not it's effect. Hell, I hate getting drunk, but I LOVE beer, and wine, and rum, and .... well you get the point... Most of the time I don't even want to get tipsy, I just like the taste...
I don't think the same can be said for the other drugs... No one takes cocaine for the taste, or feeling of it going into your nostrils... they take it for the effect...
Having said that, I don't see a problem with anyone doing either for the effect, I'm all for making them all legal... As far as I'm concerned, I don't care WHAT you do to yourself... It's only when it impacts me, or someone else that I start to care...
