If they were to act on anything in central america it would be the panama canal, because it would affect commerce as well. We have several agents there and in CA and CR now for multiple reasons. For an agent its a great assignment.

Like a lot of you on this board, I travel extensively overseas. I don't make it a habit of drawing attention to myself as an American, but I certainly don't worry about terrorism when traveling. If I worried, I would be so stressed that poor old "Willy" would decline to respond to female stimuli. Besides, if one has to die, what bettter way to go than to have your canoli feeding a beautiful chica when it happens.? It may not be 72 virgins, but it ain"t bad. :D

DannyZee:

Thank you for the information. During my travels in Costa Rica(limited mainly to San Jose and the immediate vicinity) I have on several occasions encountered East Indian groups but cannot recall ever seeing Moslem. I personally feel no concern about this issue as previously stated there are far more newsworthy targets.

I try and understand other people's perspectives even when I'm vocal in my diss taste for their position. One of my three closest friends was a resident of Saudi Arabia(a converted Christian American) I spent many hours listening to his explanation of his adopted cultures disrespect for our way of life. In his understanding all they were after was to be treated with respect. I should insert a note here the gentleman in question passed away prior to September 11. I've always thought(my warped way of looking at things) that it was somehow a blessing that he did not have to go through the internal battle that would've caused him. Sorry I'm rambling.
