Verizon says it offers no service in CR at all. I plan on renting a cell in CR but I can't seem to find a way to receive calls forwarded from my VZW phone on my rented phone in CR. Separately, I also wanted to find a way to make outgoing calls from CR and make it appear (spoof calling) that I'm calling from my US VZ cell. Spoofing usually does not work internationally.

Do take this the wrong way, I don't know you from Jack, but it seems that maybe you are not ready for CR. It seems you have other (more important) responsibilities at home that you need to tend to at this time.

For sure he's not ready. He doesn't have his CRT VIP membership!

Does anyone know if you can take a Motorola Razr V3 and use it on the cellular network (ICE) in Costa Rica? The V3 is a GSM phone. It does use a SIM card. I saw it on the list of devices on the ICE website. The phone does not have the same software versions listed on the web page though. I'm wondering if ICE will install the correct software version on the phone for me.

For new service, ICE will not activate any phone not bought in CR is my understanding. If you are replacing an already active phone, you can use a V3, but it must be unlocked. But I read that there are places that can unlock a phone.

I'm replacing a lost phone that was already on the ICE network. I had the V3 unlocked here in the states yesterday and I want to take it down to CR next week.

I gave a friend in CR a new GMS unlocked cellular to replace a damaged phone. Simply installed ICE sims from old phone and it worked perfectly.

The unlocked Verizon cell phone did work with an ICE Sim Card.

If it's a Verizon phone, it's not UNLOCKED. There are places that can unlock a locked phone.

I don't see any reason why a unlocked GSM phone wouldn't work with a working ICE sim card.
