A moment of silence please for the passing of a college football coaching legend

Although a graduate of a competing big ten school, the respect was always there for this icon.

Props to Bo, a guy we loved to hate. I gues that he just wanted to watch the game tomorrow with Woody. I wonder how this will affect the "Hate Michigan" rally tonight on High Street, the headliner is http://www.deadschembechlers.com/

As if this game didn't have enough hype.

GO BUCKS!

Being a Michigan State Spartan, Bo was also the guy we loved to hate…
But you have to respect the program that he and Don Canham built.

Miss ya Bo…but…

GO GREEN!

Yo fellow footballers,

Bo Schim was an assistant coach under Woody Hayes during my 4+ years at Ohio State U.

But when he got U of Michigan to beat OSU during previously unbeaten seasons, we Bucknuts got to "Hate the Traitor' to Ohio

He was a great coach, nevertheless--- sad to see his passing one day before the greatest game of the season of the greatest and longest rivalry in college football.

GO BUCKS :!: :!: :!:

Cyg Bucknut

After Michigan coach Bo Schembechler passes away and enters the Pearly Gates, God takes him on a tour. He shows Bo a little two bedroom house with a faded UM banner hanging from the front porch. This is your home now coach. Most people don't get their own house up here God exclaims.

Bo looked at the house, then turns around and looks at the one sitting on top of the hill. It's a huge two-story mansion with white marble columns and little patios under all the windows. Ohio state flags line both sides of the sidewalk with a huge scarlet and grey OSU banner hanging between the marble columns.

Thanks for the home God, but let me ask you a question. I get this little two bedroom house with a faded UM Michigan banner, and Woody Hayes gets a mansion with new OSU banners and flags flying all over the place.

Why is that God?

God looks at him seriously for a moment then replies

"That's not Woody's house, That's mine"!!!!!!!

the boys with the best fight song have their web site too!! As an alum of Indiana, OUR GOD is Bob Knight, and he was a b.ball player at o.s.u., they earned 2 national championships, on that team also, were 2 future stars, Jerry Lucas, and John Havilicek!! The 2 coaches when GOD was there were WOODY, and his assisstant BO... Bobby had just talked with Bo last week, like on Monday, as he had been tight with Bo from his days at o.s.u. Bo, as an assistant, was buds with Havlicheck, and knight, somewhat of a mentor to them even though he was # 2 to Woody at the time, and these guys were b.ball players. He was a buckeye first, born and raised in BARBERTON,OHIO, and coached, at Miami of Ohio. The "cradle of coaches".

I will miss "a legend", as I met him at Ann Arbor 3 years ago, before the the big one, "the only game carr has won against tressel," He was fired up then, as if he were still on the sideline, the game was a record capacity at the Big House, we hit 107, and change. Bo told me that day that all they had to do was play as a "team" and they would win...I talked with him for 1 minute, and I heard him use the word "team" 7 times...for him it was all about the "team"

Class of '81 also. Great time, when we won the national championship, with Isiah, Tolbert, and Turner...smoked some pot with those boys, and was buddies of Wittman, and Kitchell! My last 2 years were at Kappa Sigma, where Mark Cuban resided.

Circa '84, Randy Drury was a new referee, in the big 10, and he was so intimidated by Bobby that he didnt blow his whistle one time in the first half. Knight was furious! He goes into the refs locker room and approaches Drury...He says"let me have that whistle, i dont think it is working, and proceds to swish it in the toilet profusely for 30 seconds, or so" He hands it back to the rookie and says " Now I want you to go out there and blow the piss out of that thing" Classic!
