OK, so I'm going down in September, & my espanol is NOT the greatest. Is there somewhere on the board where I can find useful phrases to be used during negotiating/interviewing chicas?

Like when she says "Cien", how do I say "No, I wanted the cost for an hour, not a week."

or shorten it a little: Cuanto por una hora, no una semana? (How much for an hour, not a week?)

I'm sure there are various threads out there that contain some useful phrases. But I'm surprised nobody has put together a list of commonly used phrases and posted them as a sticky in the newbie section. I will try to put together something like that over the weekend.

The general phrases posted are all really good. I wish I could remember who posted what I consider to be the best response to the cien proposition:

Lo siento mi amor, pero yo no gano cien por hora, por lo tanto no puedo pagarte cien por hora.

I am sorry my love, but I do not earn $100 per hour, therefore I cannot pay you $100 per hour.

Right on! These chicks should spend a little more time working on thier own game too. Thier down time is not our problem. I'm not paying them to hold the wall up until I get there.

How about some key words that i guy might hear when some ticos are close by and think the gringo knows no spanish at all and have ill will planned for him. Such as "go wait for him to come outside" etc.
